Ukimido -UKIMIDO-

Ukimido is located in the southern area of the approach to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, a World Heritage Site in Nara Park. It is an octagonal (hexagonal) hall with a cypress bark roof that floats on Sagiike Pond. A bridge connects it to allow you to enter the building. It is popular among many photographers for its waterside scenery, and you can enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring and autumn leaves in the fall. During the "Light Up Promenade Nara" event, Ukimido is lit up along with the World Heritage sites of Todaiji Temple and Kofukuji Temple's five-story pagoda, attracting many visitors.

How to get there: Take the city loop bus from JR Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station, get off at "Daibutsuden Kasuga Taisha-mae" and walk for 5 minutes

Tobihino - TOBIHINO -

Tobihino is located in the grounds of Kasuga Taisha Shrine, a World Heritage Site in Nara Park, and is a grassy plaza on the south side of the approach to Kasuga Taisha Shrine. It is very close to Todaiji Temple, famous for its Great Buddha, Kofukuji Temple with its five-story pagoda, and the city center, so it is easily accessible. And yet, it is one of the most popular tourist spots because it offers a panoramic view of Mt. Wakakusa, Mt. Kasuga, and Mt. Takamado, and is a place where you can fully experience nature. It is also a popular photo spot, as you can enjoy the fresh greenery in spring, the lush trees in summer, the autumn leaves in autumn, and the frost-covered lawns in winter, and you can also see deer playing in the natural surroundings.
